In Fuller Democracy 2017, 83% of people voted in favour of making paternity leave equal to maternity leave in terms of time and compensation. This will allow for more gender equality in raising children and maintaining one’s position in the labour force. It will also give young families more flexibility in raising their children. (In the case of single-parent families, it would still be possible for one person to take all of the available leave).
